Three sayings come to mind:  "If you kill the head, the body will follow".  "United we stand, divided we fall".  "Divide and conquer".  All three suggest that where division and separation exist, destruction is sure to follow.

     The Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:38, 39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".    Why is this an important statement?  Because Ephesians 6:12 says:  "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

     As long as we look to God, the author and finisher of our faith, the head of the church, acknowledge him in all our ways, we can not be separated from him.  And if we are not separated from him, we have the victory because in Matthew 28:18, Jesus tells us "...all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth".   I will leave you with two scriptures:
